Web Project Manager Job Opportunity

Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Web Project manager with an extensive background managing virtual teams of web developers to help us finish a WordPress website project.

This website was launched at the beginning of this year, but we're struggling with a serious performance issue, which is leading us to order a re-factoring of the most important plugins that were customized only for this website. We've already hired some high profile Wordpress developers and they're currently evaluating the issue now. However, we will need the help of a senior website project manager to analyze the outputs and manage the plugins refactoring process if it's necessary.

We do prefer to work with virtual web developers since we know there are a lot of amazing talents out there. Proven experience managing virtual teams is the main quality we are looking for in this manager.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• 5+ years hands on project management experience and 10+ years IT experience
• Strong knowledge of the most popular web programming technologies: PHP, Javascript, HTML/CSS;
• Strong Knowledge on each component of a LAMP environment;
• Proven experience managing WordPress projects from the product concept to its final implementation;
• Significant knowledge of the delivery and/or development of software products and technical architecture;
• Experience in developing both strategy and business cases for action;
• Ability to communicate effectively with a cross-functional team;
• Ability to work on multiple, simultaneous initiatives while maintaining up to date metrics and reporting;
• Strong customer interfacing and negotiating skills;

Welcomed Qualifications:

• Industry recognized Project Management Certifications (PMP, CSM, etc.)
• Familiarity with multiple development methodologies (Agile, RUP, SCRUM, etc.);
